I don't know why the folder isn't popping up when I connect my phone to my laptop so I'll try to upload more pictures from my phone when it works again! I camwhore a lot with it hehe.

My pageant interview (4/27)

As most of you know, I joined the Miss NY Chinese beauty pageant this year. My interview was last Wednesday to get into the semi-finals (40). Here's what went on:

I went to the hair salon to get my hair washed and straightened then got my make up done at the wedding store. I felt like I had too much blush on but I guess it was okay. I changed into everything and we drove to Flushing. 

Honestly speaking, I thought the girls weren’t going to be that pretty. I think all of us expected that because of the girls that we saw online. I was the first girl there I think? They told me to go in at 12 for filming but I shouldn’t have because I just sat there and waited 3 hours. Girls started coming in and I was the only one with my mom. I also felt bad because I didn’t wanna eat and she didn’t eat either so I told her to get food for herself. The other girls that came didn’t seem so dressed up and I felt kinda awkward at first but then other people arrived dressed up like me. 

So let me tell you… I felt SO intimidated seeing all the other girls. There were about 9 girls interviewing with me today and they were all really pretty, skinny, tall and had nice hair. I wasn’t expecting them to be that pretty really but I talked to the other girls and they all thought the same haha. 

Once I arrived, I just gave them everything they told us to bring (paperwork related) and we had to fill out some forms. Then we just sat and waited. They were filming for Pageant TV which is going to premiere on TVB I think. It’s going to be a show on the whole process and behind the scenes. Anyways, I sat on the couch and it was underground so I had no service on my phone. There was a girl next to me named Mercedes and she actually goes to Judy for image consulting classes and she signed up for this like last year. I thought she was so prepared and ready for this. But we just started talking and getting to know each other. Everyone was really nice but in the end, this is still a competition but I’m not going to do anything shady or unfair haha. I feel like I’m everyone’s little sister because everyone else is 20+.

I was actually the last one to go since my appointment was for 4 anyways. We had a mic put on us cause they recorded our interview and I had to walk into this big studio room and there were only two guys sitting down and the camera people. It was bright because of the camera equipment. Judy made sure my back was straight and I had good posture. Anyways, I walked in and sat down on the chair while they asked me questions. They ask everyone different questions though. Then they asked what my talent was. If you dance, you don’t have to perform but if you sing, you’ll have to sing a few seconds. I told them I did both but my singing wasn’t ready because I was sick last week. This made me relieved because I was most worried about the dance. 

Then the camera person asked me to say some things to the video camera and I got some shots taken. I also had to cat walk three times. That was hard in 6 inch heels! They also took a picture of me with my hair all pulled back. They told me that I needed to practice walking in heels more. Then I was asked if I had anything else planned for summer so I felt pretty good about my interview. 

After that I just changed back into my pants and it felt so good to be comfortable again. My mom picked me up and we went to get food cause I didn’t eat all day. When I got home, the other girls and I found each other on Facebook and we just added each other. Everyone was so pretty and I wish all of them good luck!

I'm really tired of crying. I tell myself that I'm done with it and I have no more energy and tears left to cry but I end up bawling my eyes out everytime. I really can't handle it anymore because it does no good. The next morning, my eyes just get really puffy and it stings.

I'm not being sexist or anything but no matter what, guys should treat all girls with respect. Sometimes I beat myself down because I know I deserved better but in the end I settled for less.

I got tired of trying. After putting all my effort into someone, putting them before myself, I realized that I will soon get tired. Get tired of trying myself because there's no one to meet me halfway. I thought the other person finally understood. I thought that I would see change, and things would get better. I feel like we're back at the starting point all over again.

No matter how much I try to explain it, the other person can't seem to hear what I have to say. In the end, it's always my fault in the other person's eyes. Even if it was me who tried most to avoid it. But you know what? I should save my breath from now on. Nothing seems to work but maybe giving up will.

I tell my friends advice about their relationships all the time and I feel bad that I can't even listen to my own words. I ask myself these questions all the time but in the end, I make up excuses for that person whom I doubt.
Were you there for me when I felt alone and sad?
Were there sacrifices or changes you had to make for me because I was worth it?
Was there anything you went out of your way to do for me?

One persons actions shows how much he cares and it will all become clear in the end.

To make up for my unexcused absence from this blog, I'm going to post a lot of pictures and try to update you guys as much as I can in this post! I hope it doesn't get too boring but pictures will make it more interesting right?

Aren't these heels BEAUTIFUL??? Sadly they're thousands of dollars so I'm never gonna be able to afford them in a hundred years. I was looking up examples of pumps I needed for my pageant interview and I really liked these. However, I got some really high 6 inch heels from Amsterdam in Soho. Good thing it had a platform though.

Last week I hung out with Vivi and Chanel because Chanel came out (she NEVER comes to NY). We didn't spend a lot of time together but at least I got to say hi and stuff. Vivi and I waited at the wedding store so we camwhored because we liked the lighting haha.

I needed this so my skin can stay moisturized and it wouldn't make my nose oily. It came with two sample sized eye serum and a lip balm. The texture is really nice, creamy and smells good! I definitely recommend it. It stays moisturized for a full 24 hours.

Getting lazy with blogspot again?

I think a lot of people complain about how hard blogspot is to use and I have to agree with the complications of their layouts and how the whole dashboard thing works but at least I can still understand it and edit it to my liking somehow haha. I think using Tumblr is so much easier and you can interact easier, but this is better for legit blogging. Maybe I'll make it into a domain later on.

Basically, I've been sick for many days now. I got a cold and it was pretty bad. Having to wipe my nose all the time and coughing non-stop. How annoying is that to be at work and being sick??? 

Spring Break finally started and I haven't done anything fun or interesting. I didn't wanna waste this break but it seems like I'm going to. I was supposed to go to Six Flags with my cousin but he started working so we postponed it. I'm starting to go to work at Hollister again because I need to get paid and save up! Yesterday I went in for a call in and the weather was amazing! I was actually sweating a bit haha but too bad I was stuck in a dark dark place. Why Hollister WHY?! I've been losing some pounds (about 110 lbs now? Goes up and down) but it's because I've been doing #2 a lot hahah. I'm still eating normally though so I'm not getting anorexia or anything.

Two days ago, I went on a dress hunting spree. It was raining a lot and I was getting so frustrated. NOT a good day to go shopping. Plus I had an all nighter before and my cold was really bad. I couldn't find the dress I needed for my pageant interview anywhere. I did manage to get a cute top on sale for $7 though! I had dresses that were light colored and classy in mind. Like these:

Something that would show off my figure but nothing too sexy or "out there". I'm really into more dressier things now and something more mature (for my age). 

On the day of the pageant interview, I'm gonna get my hair done at a salon and also do my make up. I wanted to get it done in Sephora but I'm too cheap to get $50 worth of make up hah. My mom's gonna go with me since I'm not 18 yet. I still have to perfect my dance, but I was considering singing so I wouldn't have to change my outfit. There's still a bunch of things for me to do for the pageant interview but I only have 9 days left. I can't procrastinate! 

I have been saving up my money recently. I got my paycheck but I only got around 60 bucks which isn't enough for me at all. Maybe after I graduate I'll go on a spree and splurge myself but for right now I'll just buy things I NEED. My boyfriend's birthday is in 2 months so I need to save up around $300 for that. I have two options of what to give him so I'm not sure yet right now. Hopefully I'll go to work more often so when I get my next paycheck I'll like what I see lol. 

Yesterday I ordered some make up on Ulta.com. I've heard a lot about this place on youtube and I found out about their sale. I went on their website and a lot of the things were discounted or had deals. I definitely had to get some things for myself that were on sale. I got three things from Revlon because it was buy 2 and get 1 free. ANYTHING from that brand. How awesome is that?! I just hate shipping and handling but I don't know any Ulta around here. I wanted so many things because this site has almost everything but I just saved it for next time. Oh and you also get 3 free samples with every order.

I've seen so many reviews and hauls on these so I thought why not try them myself? I usually don't like face make up but I wanted to enhance how I look and maybe try to wear more for special occasions but not on every day basis. I like to pay more attention to the eyes. All this plus shipping came out to be $21! Usually if it's full price in drug stores, it'd be around $30. Ulta is cheap and has nice deals but free shipping is if you buy $50 for more. Or else I would've paid $6 less! 

Did I mention I'm obsessed with her?! I wanna try this hairstyle when I grow out my bangs. But I just love her style and everything about her. She's around 25 already but still looks so doll-like. She dresses so classy in the drama too. I'm always looking forward to the next episode in 49 days. I just recently finished watching Sunny Happiness. It was alright I guess.

Yesterday after work, I went into Forever 21 to look around and hope to find something I liked. I actually found a dress that was what I was looking for! Forever 21 is really affordable and I'm so glad I found it there. It's a coral color but a little darker then what I had originally wanted it in but it still looks pretty. I tried it on with heels and it was just really pretty. However, the breast part was tight for me because it's only 29 inches but it's okay. I had to return two things I purchased online so I had to only pay $8 more for it (plus I got earrings with it as well!) I was so happy that I finally found it and I can stress about one less thing now. I just need to find skinny heels now.

I promise the dress looks better in person. I tried to take a picture in the fitting room but it didn't look right? But in person it's really flattering and pretty. I'm going to keep this for me to wear for other occasions or during the spring time! 

I still have about $50 in my account (Thank God!!!) so hopefully it'll help me survive throughout the week and the next week. But of course I can't spend it on things I don't need! 

Sigh I haven't seen my bf in days. He never visits me!!! How sad. I guess I'll go over tomorrow after work. And we finally took pictures! Well I always take them when I'm over and he's on his laptop playing games but he doesn't let me get him in the picture. This time, he was actually dressed up since he came back from somewhere so he was in the picture.

Now I'm gonna get ready, go to Flushing around 11 and facetrade with a girl then shop for heels at Busy mall? And then come back out to eat and facetrade with another girl then go to work at Hollister from 2-6PM. I'm going to dinner tonight with my family.

I make lists for everything even if I don't follow it all the time. I make lists for things I plan on getting when I go to the mall then I end up finding only one item on my list and get other things. I make lists for things I plan on doing or whatever's coming up.

CUNY is really slow with applications this semester. It's already MID-APRIL and I haven't gotten my acceptance letter. It better come soon cause I have to deposit money for my tuition by May 1st. I'm gonna try to update my FAFSA when I'm at my boyfriend's house because my laptop wouldn't let me. I called Queens college today and they still don't know if I got accepted. I guess there's a back up plan for everything. Maybe I'll take a semester off to work or just go to community school and transfer. Why are they so slow with my application?!

I went to school this morning to do my presentation. The other girls in my group also wore white unintentionally hah and we took up the whole period. I think it went pretty well since I started my part last minute. I kept trying not to cough though and now my throat is somewhat killing me. I guess I shouldn't go to work today cause I'd be coughing in all the customer's faces haha. I'm just gonna stay home, rest and continue learning my dance. By the way, this is the dance I'm learning for the pageant interview: I'm changing up some steps because it's a little too sexy hah

Well at least Spring break starts after tomorrow!!! How exciting. Even though the weather is still bipolar.. I have to keep going to work so I can make money though but I'm planning on hanging out with some friends, my boyfriend and not waste time this break.

I got the feathered necklace a long time ago at Charlotte Russe (I think?) I wore it with a plain white tee from American Eagle, skinny jeans from HCO, a braided brown belt, and heeled brown boots. My earrings are from Forever 21 for $3.80. I just got the order yesterday and I love them! I'm starting to love big dangly earrings this year.

I got some flower hair clips from H&M for $3.95 each. These colors are so in for Spring! I got a pair of small mint colored ones and one big coral one. 

From Forever 21, I ordered another pair of their lashes. This one isn't as natural but it reminds me of Asian market lashes. I also ordered a braided belt, but I didn't like the color.

Other things I bought

Shorts from Hollister for only $20.70! They were 40% off on their website so I just had to get it! 

Then I got this nude colored tube top from H&M for $5.95. Cute paired up with anything on the bottom.

I also ordered a red polka dotted bandeau, one-shoulder dress (black) and a white one shoulder dress (with lace) from F21. Didn't get a chance to take a picture of them, but I'll do that later on!

Update

Ahhh my last update was almost a week ago! I was sick last weekend so I stayed over at my boyfriend's house because I was too weak to go home myself. I got my period on Friday so the next day I met up with some girls to facetrade and when I went over, I started getting bad cramps. Then my head was hurting and I kept getting diarrhea. The next morning, I was kneeling on his floor because I suddenly just blacked out haha. His mom was really nice and made me congee though and it made me feel better.

Today Ivan called me in the morning because he had the car so I got ready and we went to Flushing to eat at Teashop. Now I just want to fulfill my Korean food cravings! I went back to H&M to return my coral bikini cause it didn't match my skin color and I got two other things. Around 7, my whole family went to dinner at Fuleen. It was my uncle's 50th birthday~ My cousins and I were camwhoring cause we were really bored. Now I wanna get the Samsung dualview again! I had the older version of it but Weisi has the new touchscreen one and it's really good. I actually come out decent looking haha.

Spring break starts after this week so I'm excited. There's only going to be about a month and a half of school left after that! Hopefully I'll be productive this Spring break. I promised a few of my friends to hang out and they wanna go to the beach already. Then I'm gonna continue going to work so I have money to spend. Then of course I have to make time for my boyfriend hehe. I'm planning on going to six flags with my cousins, girls night out with Sara and Diana, double date with Diana and Waihao, meet up with Han and Truc, and beach date with Brenda! 

I've been losing weight and now I'm at 110 lbs. I'm so happy! I just need to tone up my stomach a bit though. 

Someone from the pageant called and told me to go in for an interview on the 27th. I need to start preparing for it now. I'm learning Rania's dance for my talent even though it's optional because I wanna impress them. I've learned the first 20 seconds already.

I always feel like I left out something. Hmmm...

In 2 days, it's going to be me and my boyfriends seven month anniversary! Oh how time flies. 

I downloaded some cute applications on my phone and started playing around with them. This one is called Smilecat

I'm obsessed with the drama 49 days! I watched up to episode 8 and now I have to wait until the next one comes out. I hate it when I start new dramas and end up having to wait a week for the next episode all the time. The girl is so pretty and doll-like! I'm gonna grow out my bangs and split my bangs like her's. Everytime I say I'm gonna grow it out, it gets too long and annoying and I end up cutting it though ugh.

It's time for me to get a lock for my closet! I'm getting annoyed at my sister taking all of my new clothes. She disrespects my things even though I let her borrow it. I don't mind her using my things, but especially not the things I've never even used myself. And after she uses them, she doesn't put it back in its rightful place.
