I have a lot of things I want to share with you guys. At first I wanted to wait until I've finished taking a picture of everything so I could share with you my recent purchases and events, but I just feel like sharing my thoughts right now. It's really early in the morning and I've only had about four hours of sleep, but I couldn't fall asleep due to some disturbance. Hurricane Irene was this past weekend so I evacuated my house (which was in the A zone) and lived at my boyfriend's. I guess everything is always too exaggerated because it was mostly strong winds and rain. They shut off the MTA so a lot of plans were ruined.
What's happened since the last time I updated?
I've missed blogging so much! I promise to continue blogging, tumblr-ing, and making videos on Youtube! I took a semester off school to work and catch up on life. I'm going to apply to FIT for their Spring semester for Fashion merchandise marketing. For now, I'm going to look for where I want to go next in life. Everlyn has asked me to be a receptionist at her spa in soho called La Peau. I'm actually going in for training today and then I'm going to apply at Uniqlo and see if they're willing to accept me now since I'm 18. Having said that, my birthday passed and I'm finally 18!!!! I'm also interning at another spa uptown, but I might stick to only modeling and promoting for them since I don't think I'll have time to work two jobs and intern.
My 18th birthday was okay, better than the rest! I remember the day of my birthday, I waited hours for my bestfriend Brenda to come to New York so we can go to Soho and shop. We only got to spend like half an hour together before I had to go uptown for a fitting at Cindy's. I felt bad though because I was late and the girls had chipped in to get me a cake and I couldn't eat it with them. I took it home myself with the big cupcake Danni got me. That night I went to dinner at a buffet with my family. It was really good and they upgraded aha. Yup, so it was my big one eight and I didn't partyyy. Two days after though, baby came to the studio with me and he got me a cake. Then that night when I went over after practice, he surprised me (after making me wait outside the door for like 15 minutes!). He had candles everywhere and it was really sweet. His entire family wished me a happy birthday and helped us take pictures. Sadly, I couldn't get enough pictures cause the candles were melting!
Hmmm, what else happened? OH the pageant finals! No... I didn't get a title, but it was an amazing experience! I'll make a separate post about it hehe. My cousin whom I haven't seen in TEN years came down from Michigan with her daughter for me! He was my closest sibling back then and it's so sad how we haven't spoken in so long.
I guess this was all that's been going on in my life. Before the finals, I was just training all the time and going to rehearsals. Afterwards, I had to rest and we had a celebration dinner. I was so sad it was over, but I'm still keeping in touch with all the girls!

2011 Miss NY Chinese Pageant Talent Show
Friday July 29th, 2011 was our talent show. I'm not gonna get so much into details, but there were 3 main parts. We rehearsed for this for quite a while and now that it's over, it released a lot of stress off our shoulders. It was a really stressful day for the crew as well because we all want the show to go as planned.
I paid $300 for 6 classes taught by Aron Chen. I changed my talent halfway and decided to go back to dancing. I had to come up with moves last minute, but overall I was happy with my dance.
Melody (#12) ended up winning the title of Miss Talent and she deserved it! Her performance Macavity was amazing and she did well in the other parts as well. Here are some pictures from the night
I was really proud of my performance. It wasn't perfect and I was off balance a few times, but I improved a lot since the semi-finals. I now have more confidence on stage and I don't blank out anymore.

The material seems like it's not that great so I'm scared to wash it. Maybe I'll hand wash it haha but I love the pearls along the neckline. And it matches my lovely chain bag!

I really wanna change up my layout. However, it takes so much work to do it! I hate how the current layout doesn't show the title of my posts and the font is a little to small. I wanna camwhore and use a picture for my banner or something, but nothing's good enough. Maybe I'll start working on it or something.
